Real Time Profit and Loss Forecasting for Consumer Goods

Providing a real-time view of a CPG business is tough, even more so when that business spans fifty markets, multiple ERP systems and tens of thousands of different products and customers.

Praesto delivered a solution to provide real time reporting across all of this, so there is an up-to date company forecast based on the latest information. We constructed a data platform that continuously brings together billions of rows of data from multiple business processes. Actual transaction data is combined with Forecast to produce a single view that can be compared to plans.

This enables Sales, Trade marketing and Finance to immediately see the impact of promotions on the overall company P&L, and respond to changed forecasts and market trends. By maximising the revenue on the overall promotional plan, this system has saved millions in trade spend and allowed it to be re-invested into activity that best drives ROI.

C-Suite dashboards

Working with a publicly listed Consumer Electronics company we built C Level dashboards giving the Executive team oversight of their entire business in real-time. Our team worked with the client to compile the data sources, to transform the data into a consistent schema as well as designing and building the dashboards.

Combing data in CRM

Our client wanted to enhance their CRM functionality by presenting users with more than just sales and customer data. We worked with the client to understand the additional data sources, where the data was stored and what needed to be extracted. We then worked with the CRM users to understand what data would enhance their experience. We built connections to the data systems to extract finance, operations and marketing data. This data was stored in a single repository and surfaced to users via an analytics platform embedded within the CRM system.
